Electronic Cigarette

Using an electronic cigarette is an alternative to smoking tobacco products. Electronic cigarette kits come in manual and automatic versions, and VapurŪ falls into the latter category. As some want the flavor and sensation of tobacco without the carcinogens, tar, and secondhand smoke of typical cigarettes, the electronic cigarette is a safe alternative.

A battery-powered device, an electronic cigarette provides the user with inhaled doses of a flavor, which may or may not contain nicotine. The liquid inside the cartridge of the electronic cigarette may be tobacco-flavored, although fruit and many other options are available, and may give the same sensation as tobacco smoke. Each reusable and refillable device has an elongated tube or pen form, and, whenever the user inhales, the model detects the airflow by a sensor in the atomizer, the electronic cigarette's heating element. The atomizer, then, vaporizes the solution in the cartridge or mouthpiece, and the user has the sensation of inhaling without causing secondhand smoke that pervades the area around.

An electronic cigarette also contains an LED light on the end. Products like VapurŪ have red and color options for the light, but the LED indicates when the device is turned on and in use. When the user inhales, the LED light goes on automatically and stays on, until the user puts the device down.

Each electronic cigarette uses a three part system: a cartridge, an atomizer, and a battery. The cartridge, also referred to as a mouthpiece, is disposable and contains absorbent material saturated with the liquid essence or flavor. The atomizer, or the heating element, vaporizes this liquid. The battery, the part of the electronic cigarette that contains the LED light, powers the device and allows the atomizer to sense when the user inhales.

Electronic cigarette cartridges, such as the pack of five that comes with VapurŪ, always need to be replaced and give the user several options for flavors and nicotine strengths inhaled. Tobacco and menthol flavors are sold on the market, as well as several fruit, chocolate, and coffee flavors. The nicotine, dissolved in propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin, comes in "zero" or "none" strength and may be as strong as 20 milligrams per milliliter.
